Rebecca started her career in public accounting in 1992. After spending two years with a CPA firm in Indianapolis and five years in Chicago, Rebecca left the practice of public accounting and applied that experience and knowledge to a career in financial planning based money management. In 1999 she joined Whitinger & Company, CPAs as a practice developer and led their financial planning division, Whitinger Financial Advisors, LLC. Due to an out of state move, Rebecca started her own practice in 2004 and is currently registered as an investment advisor representative of LPL Financial. After returning to her home state of Indiana, she and Bob Dunlap began their partnership in 2013 and formalized it under the company name Dunlap Gill Wealth Management Group, Inc.
Clients who benefit most from Rebecca’s experience are those interested in a coach that seeks to help them invest wisely, save income and estate taxes, and help coordinate all aspects of their financial life so that their overall financial house is in order. As life, laws, financial situations and conditions change, Rebecca works alongside her clients offering professional guidance to work towards their goals and objectives.
Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Marketing from Ball State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist, and holds a Series 7, 63, and 65, securities registration at LPL Financial. Rebecca has conducted numerous client seminar and appreciation events throughout her career. She is a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS). She served as a speaker at the INCPAS 2000 PFP & Investment Fall Conference Planning Committee. She is past President Elect to the South Dade chapter of the Florida CPA Society. She has been a long standing member of the National Exchange Club and is past President to the Exchange Club of Muncie.
Rebecca and her husband Michael live in Florida. Their son David serves in the U.S. Coast Guard and their daughter Kate is attending Hanover College. They lead an active Florida lifestyle and enjoy boating, scuba diving, biking and exploring the nearby beaches.
